Genji Automates with jLAN Technologies, Chops Time-Wasting Tasks

Genji, the largest operator of sushi bars inside Whole Foods Market with more than 150 locations, faced slow, error-prone inventory and reorder processes: staff did monthly stock counts and faxed or retyped orders into Microsoft Dynamics GP, creating rekeying mistakes and delayed replenishment. To address this, Genji selected jLan Mobile and its jLan Mobile Sales Software alongside Motorola MC65 mobile devices to replace paper and an aging web app.

jLan Mobile implemented a two-way integration between the mobile platform and Microsoft Dynamics GP, deployed offline-capable mobile order guides on Motorola MC65 handhelds, and automated uploads into the ERP. The result: elimination of manual re-entry, fewer order-entry errors, greater inventory accuracy, faster reordering, reduced IT correction workload, and the solution running in 150 Genji sushi bars—saving countless back-office hours each month.
