How MarketStar is Uniting Its Workforce and Creating a Dynamic Social Culture with Jive

MarketStar, a sales and channel outsourcing firm with about 3,500 distributed employees working across many client brands, struggled with a fragmented corporate culture and ineffective tools—an outdated static intranet and siloed SharePoint sites that left employees disconnected and reliant on email for company communications. Leadership needed a one-stop platform to align employees with MarketStar’s mission, enable cross-functional collaboration, and make corporate knowledge easy to find and use.

In July 2013 MarketStar launched a Jive-powered social intranet, “MarketStar Connect,” providing searchable content, flexible groups, Office/Outlook integration, SSO links to systems of record, and mobile access. The new hub centralized communications and collaboration, reduced emails and meetings, turned sales materials into living documents, integrated with Pardot and Salesforce, retired legacy sites, and—most importantly—united dispersed teams into a stronger, more connected company culture.
