Cox Automotive Unites 24 Acquisitions with Jive Interactive Intranet

Cox Automotive, a subsidiary that brought together two dozen acquired brands (including Autotrader, Manheim and Kelley Blue Book) and more than 30,000 employees across 200+ locations, faced the challenge of forging a common culture, shared purpose and closer working relationships across a fragmented organization.

To address this, Cox launched Fuel, a cloud-based Jive intranet that combined existing Autotrader and Manheim communities into a single hub for communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing. Fuel migrated prior content, created team-specific subcommunities (product, development, engineering, etc.), and now engages roughly two‑thirds of employees daily—helping the company become more cohesive, reduce travel, accelerate onboarding and extend collaboration globally.
