A Jitterbit Case Study
SPP Pumps, a 130-year-old UK manufacturer of centrifugal pumps used in mining, construction, firefighting and wastewater, faced a costly paper-based field service process. Thirty field engineers handled more than 60 service calls daily using paper forms that were faxed back to head office and manually entered into SAP, causing errors, poor visibility across sales and supply chains, and invoicing delays of up to 14 days that strained cash flow.
SPP implemented Jitterbit Harmony to orchestrate automated, bi‑directional integrations between SAP, ServiceMax, Salesforce and other systems, enabling field engineers to enter work orders remotely and access a catalog of 120,000 parts. Invoicing time fell from up to 14 days to one day (a 97% improvement), cash flow improved, engineers spend more time on customer calls, sales visibility and revenue per engineer increased, and customer satisfaction rose.
