A Jitterbit Case Study
Balfour Beatty Construction, the U.S. commercial construction arm managing roughly $2.4 billion in projects, needed a cost-effective, scalable integration strategy when it implemented a new JD Edwards ERP. Its existing hand-coded scripts between systems—notably AutoDesk Constructware and the ERP—were unmanageable, costly to maintain, and would have required a full rewrite.
Jitterbit used an existing Constructware Jitterpak and professional services to quickly replace the custom code with a standardized, automated integration platform that provides continuous bi-directional synchronization, transaction validation, and notification reporting between Constructware and JD Edwards. The deployment eliminated budgetary inaccuracies from manual duplicate entry, validated all transactions, sped implementation, and delivered comparable architecture at a much lower total cost of ownership.
