A Jitterbit Case Study
Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), a Belgian research university, was struggling to maintain and expand its integrations on an aging ESB. The slow, file-based setup made data transfers take up to two days, and managing complex identity provisioning for staff and students was costly, time-consuming, and dependent on external development help.
VUB selected Jitterbit’s Harmony iPaaS to modernize its integration architecture with API-based, incremental flows. With Jitterbit, the university reimplemented identity provisioning, built 10–15 APIs, and transferred 20 integrations to its in-house team. The impact was significant: course registration data now appears in other systems in about 30 minutes instead of two days, errors are easier to fix, and VUB gained faster, more agile integration development with reduced reliance on outside partners.
