A Jitterbit Case Study
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) needed to support an expanded vendor-offset program that pulls debtor data from more than 100 file types submitted by state, county, and city agencies. Thousands of incomplete and mismatched files coming from inside and outside the state firewall threatened the database and the existing web application, creating a need for a cost-effective way to integrate and validate diverse batch data without reworking core systems.
DAS adopted Jitterbit for its low cost, ease of use, and reusable Jitterpaks, using batch-oriented processing to bridge mixed external data into the state ERP and custom web portal securely. The solution automated validation and updates, now processes all service requests, enabled viral adoption across agencies, and supports collection of roughly $3 million a year while avoiding heavy proprietary tool costs.
