How Indoor Mapping and Real-Time Location Technology Helped Lee Health Improve Patient Care and Engagement

Lee Health, the largest hospital operator in Southwest Florida, needed a way to stand out after opening its new Coconut Point facility and to make visits less stressful for patients. After an unsuccessful in-house attempt at wayfinding, Lee Health selected Jibestream’s indoor mapping and location platform (SDKs, APIs and CMS) to embed maps and location awareness into their existing hospital mobile app.

Using Jibestream (integrated with indoo.rs for real‑time positioning), Lee Health’s small development team built iOS and Android map-enabled apps in about one month, launching with Coconut Point to deliver blue‑dot navigation, turn‑by‑turn directions, search and MyChart integration. Jibestream’s solution simplified deployment, improved patient wayfinding at opening, and provided a scalable foundation Lee Health will extend to five more hospitals and future use cases like geofencing and asset tracking.
