A JFrog Case Study
Panasonic Corporation’s Heating, Ventilation and A/C (HVAC) division, which develops residential and commercial climate-control and IoT-enabled energy‑saving systems, faced growing development and security challenges: vulnerability tracking relied on manual spreadsheets across multiple languages, open‑source vulnerabilities and the limited coverage of public databases caused last‑minute rollbacks, and binary artifact management was inefficient—creating risk, high manual effort, and slowed releases.
Panasonic adopted the JFrog Platform (Artifactory, Xray, Distribution) to centralize binaries, integrate security earlier in the pipeline, and automate vulnerability and license checks. The result was a single system of record and shift‑left DevSecOps workflow with end‑to‑end auditing, faster and more accurate vulnerability detection, secure cross‑environment distribution, improved efficiency and compliance, fewer rollbacks, and high availability (99.9% SLA).
