Lund Bros & Co Ltd, one of the UK's oldest sheet metal manufacturers, faced challenges with a competing CAM system that was basic, inflexible, and limited in its tool library. After letting their JETCAM maintenance lapse, they found the alternative system caused operational issues and required expensive upgrades for essential features. This led them to re-evaluate their software choice, especially when they acquired a new Amada punch press.

JETCAM implemented its Expert software with a new postprocessor, free-form nesting, and MRP modules. The solution drove the new machine's advanced features, allowed for easy manual overrides and bump nesting, and stored tooling on the geometry for instant updates across all nests. The initial JETCAM license paid for itself within six months, leading to the purchase of a second floating license. The customer cited excellent support and found the software to be the easiest and most accurate system they had used.
