Elkuch Eisenring, a large sheet metal manufacturer in Switzerland, faced challenges in efficiently producing a growing number of bespoke products and in managing the high cost and complexity of part labeling. They worked with JETCAM International, utilizing their JETCAM Expert Premium software with its Parametric Programming and Automatic Sheet Processing (ASP) tools to address these issues.

JETCAM's solution involved a custom interface to Elkuch's Oracle database to automate parametric programming, drastically reducing the creation time for custom parts. The ASP module automated nesting and sheet destruction, while a modified postprocessor enabled a new inkjet scribe tool for labeling. This resulted in a 50% reduction in parametric programming time, a 15% reduction in overall programming time, and a 50% cost saving on part labeling, all while improving quality and reducing errors.
