Their challenges included the need to efficiently program nests for different CNC machines, integrate new equipment from different manufacturers, and improve the accuracy of their operational scheduling and quoting processes.

The solution from JETCAM included implementing the Free Form Automatic Nesting module and developing custom postprocessors for new machines like the NUKON and Trumpf lasers. This enabled automatic tooling and processing, allowing jobs to be run on any available machine. The results were significant, with free form nesting saving half a day of programming time per week, dramatically more accurate runtime estimations for better quotes and lead times, and a seamless integration of new machinery without the need for extensive retraining.
