Arlam, an Italian sheet metal subcontractor, was facing challenges managing three different CAM systems for their CNC machinery. This setup resulted in inefficient nesting, high training burdens as staff couldn't use all systems, and an inability to easily move jobs between machines or group orders for different customers. They turned to vendor JETCAM International to implement a unified solution using JETCAM Expert Premium with High Performance Nesting and the JETCAM Orders Controller (JOC).

The solution from JETCAM consolidated all programming into a single system, which was installed and the staff trained in just five days. The results were significant: programming staff requirements were reduced from three people for three days a week to just two people for one day a week. The implementation also led to a visible reduction in material waste due to more optimized nests, a better part finish from superior cutting control, and lower support costs from maintaining only one system.
