uSwitch is a UK price-comparison site with about 100 staff (roughly half in IT) that develops in-house on the Microsoft stack and has moved toward Agile/Lean practices. Facing slow, manual release cycles and limitations with their previous CI tool (CruiseControl), they needed a more integrated continuous integration solution to automate builds, unit and acceptance testing across test, staging and production environments.

Adopting JetBrains TeamCity gave uSwitch automated, scheduled and VCS-triggered builds and acceptance tests, plus parallel execution via multiple build agents. TeamCity now serves as the release “green light” and a smoke-test interface for operations, significantly reducing release time, removing end-of-cycle manual regression testing and enabling a lightweight, on-demand release process.
