Bica Studios - Customer Case Study

Bica Studios is a free-to-play mobile game developer that was struggling with market saturation, rising user-acquisition costs and the need to iterate quickly. Technically, their release process was complex—targeting iOS, Android (three stores) and Windows Phone with multiple debug/store variants—resulting in many manual steps, long build times and frequent human errors that required a dedicated person to manage releases.

They adopted TeamCity with Unity editor scripts and a Unity plugin to automate builds, using command-line steps to run Unity in batch mode and integrating Dropbox + a simple HTML manifest and Slack notifications for instant device installs. Build times dropped dramatically (for example, iOS builds from ~45–60 min to ~18–25 min, Google Play from ~15–25 min to ~5–13 min), manual mistakes disappeared, testing accelerated, developer time was freed, and TeamCity became the company’s CI standard.
