A JetBrains Case Study

Agimatec - Customer Case Study

agimatec GmbH, a software firm building control and portal solutions for the logistics sector, relied on Continuous Integration since 2006 but struggled with CruiseControl’s complex configuration and limited UI. After evaluating Hudson and other options in 2007, the company needed a CI system that was easier to configure, better integrated with Subversion and Maven, and more user-friendly for developers.

They switched to JetBrains TeamCity, which delivered intuitive project configuration, built-in Subversion support, Maven integration, and flexible build triggers. TeamCity’s build-time estimates, IDE plugins, multi-OS build agents (including a Windows VM for Selenium front-end tests), and open-source plugins for visual failure notifications (a Nabaztag) gave agimatec faster feedback, clearer visibility into build status, simpler environment-specific testing, and improved developer focus—paving the way to adopt Remote Run and Pre-tested Commit.
