Liv Up, a healthy-food manufacturer, faced operational bottlenecks because its business orders arrived in various unstructured formats (PDFs, emails, spreadsheets) that required manual conversion. Additionally, the company could not accurately measure recipe costs, as it relied on a stopwatch that did not produce actionable data. To overcome these challenges, Liv Up partnered with vendor Jestor to implement an automated solution.

Jestor implemented a system featuring an importer that automatically reads any spreadsheet layout, translates customer product names into an internal catalog, and creates order records. On the production floor, cooks now log the time spent on each recipe per shift. This provided Liv Up with measurable recipe costs for the first time, enabling them to identify and work on efficiency improvements. The solution also allowed the team to take on efficiency projects that were previously too small to justify an in-house build.
