The University of Mary, a 3,800‑student Catholic university in Bismarck, sought to improve academic advising to boost retention and reduce unmet degree conferral requirements. Already using Jenzabar One, the university implemented Jenzabar Student’s Advising module as part of an Advising Quality Initiative to centralize advising materials, streamline degree planning, and strengthen advisor onboarding and student–advisor collaboration.

Using Jenzabar’s Advising module and its integration with Jenzabar Communications, advisors replaced spreadsheets with centralized degree plans, automated workflows, and FERPA‑compliant shared records to enable proactive outreach and cross‑campus support. As a result, Jenzabar helped the University of Mary increase expected gross tuition revenue by $268K, improve conferral processing efficiency by 2,900% (from 4 people 45 days to 3 people 2 days), raise undergraduate graduation rates by 5%, and boost freshman retention nearly 6%.
