Mt. Hood Community College Takes a Student-Centric Approach to Operations

Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC), a three‑campus Oregon system serving more than 28,000 students with over 1,334 faculty and staff, faced the challenge of modernizing its administrative systems to support part‑time, evening, online and mobile learners, strengthen student engagement and retention, reduce costs, and measure outcomes. MHCC had been a Jenzabar client for nearly 20 years on Jenzabar CX and sought to move to the next‑generation Jenzabar JX to address these campus‑wide operational and student‑centric needs.

Jenzabar deployed its JX modular, mobile‑first ERP with embedded analytics, an enterprise CRM, low‑customization configurability and built‑in reporting to streamline academic and administrative workflows. The Jenzabar JX implementation gave MHCC greater configurability (for example, finance can self‑configure), improved user experience across devices, and actionable intelligence for decision‑making—enabling staff to spend more time on enrollment and retention while reducing reliance on costly customizations and improving automation and efficiency.
