LSU Continuing Education Transforming a world-class outreach program

LSU Continuing Education, the outreach arm of Louisiana State University that delivers more than 120 credit and 500+ non-credit courses to thousands of learners across every Louisiana parish, all 50 states, and nearly 40 countries, faced fragmented administrative systems, duplicated effort, and heavy IT maintenance. To consolidate operations, improve service levels, and enable real-time course creation and personalized student experiences, LSU Continuing Education selected Jenzabar and its continuing education platform, Jenzabar Higher Reach.

Jenzabar implemented Higher Reach across the division, standardizing workflows, scheduling tools, and real-time alerts while integrating with Moodle for online grading and course access. The result, as reported by LSU Continuing Education, was the first-ever consolidation of applications and enrollments for most CE programs, faster service (students can register at 8:00 a.m. and start a course at 9:00 a.m.), empowered coordinators who create courses in real time, reduced administrative burden, and improved operational efficiency and student experience thanks to Jenzabar.
