How Charleston Southern University harnessed technology for productivity and efficiency

Charleston Southern University, one of South Carolina’s largest independent universities, faced a campus-wide challenge of heavy paper-based processes—purchase orders, student communications, and records occupied office space and slowed workflows. To achieve its strategic goal of going paperless, CSU selected Jenzabar, deploying Jenzabar EX and the Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution (JICS) alongside a web-based document image and data integration system.

Jenzabar implemented a fully integrated ERP and portal system, bringing all departments online in a 12-month rollout and providing a single source for schedules, transcripts, billing, requisitions, registration, budgeting, and reporting. The Jenzabar solution enabled CSU to scan 1.52 million pages, free 720 square feet of office space, streamline workflows, reduce labor and paper usage, and significantly improve data access and responsiveness across campus.
