Harvard Graduate School of Design Provides Ultimate Student Experience

Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (Harvard GSD) needed to replace a paper-and-index-card registration process with a web-enabled Student Information System that could support portfolio-based applications, integrate a specialized lottery optimization tool for limited-enrollment studios, connect to local authorization, and move hosting to the cloud. They selected Jenzabar and its Jenzabar EX platform and Managed Services to meet these requirements.

Jenzabar worked with Harvard GSD to deploy Jenzabar EX in the cloud, integrate the off‑the‑shelf linear optimization lottery and campus authorization, and provide managed hosting (secure off‑campus storage, automatic backups, 24/7 monitoring, automatic updates and scalability). The deployment delivered immediate, fully integrated functionality, reduced Registrar setup effort, freed IT staff for strategic work, improved self‑service and enrollment reporting, and achieved high availability (at least 99.982% uptime) under Jenzabar’s Managed Services.
