Florida Southern College Improves Student Retention

Florida Southern College, the oldest private college in Florida with over 2,000 undergraduates, sought to boost student retention and centralize student-success efforts across campus. To address this challenge the College implemented Jenzabar Retention (and uses Jenzabar EX as its ERP) to create a unified approach to tracking academic performance, extracurricular engagement, financial aid, and other risk factors.

Jenzabar aggregated campus-wide data into a 360-degree student view, applied predictive modeling and real-time alerts, and enabled staff to quickly assign tutors, advisors, or other resources; Jenzabar EX also streamlined mobile registration and reporting. The result was greater efficiency and effectiveness—faster interventions, time and cost savings for staff, improved access to real-time analytics, and a demonstrable boost to the College’s student-success efforts thanks to Jenzabar.
