To modernize its customer onboarding, Banisi partnered with vendor Jelou to implement a fully automated, conversational solution on WhatsApp.

Jelou's solution enabled a complete and compliant account opening process within the WhatsApp chat. This allowed users to submit data, provide ID and selfies for real-time biometric validation, and e-sign contracts without leaving the app. The results for Banisi were a 146% increase in their account-opening rate, over 1,700 new accounts, and an average onboarding time reduced from 25 minutes to under 7.
