Steinert Optimizes Global Planning and Reporting With Jedox

STEINERT, founded in 1889 with about 300 employees and a global presence, is the world’s only full‑range provider of sorting and separation systems for materials such as metals and plastics. Its business ranges from single machines to multiyear mining projects, and volatile raw‑material prices make forecasting and project monitoring very challenging. The management accountant needed a flexible, maintainable reporting and planning solution to replace fragmented Excel processes and support diverse, rapidly changing requirements.

STEINERT implemented the web‑based Jedox OLAP solution after a one‑day workshop, integrating ERP, SQL and Excel data into a central multidimensional model with web data entry, workflows, plausibility checks and automatic currency conversions. The accounting team now manages and extends the system, producing consolidated monthly reports five times faster, generating ad‑hoc management reports with one click, and rolling out consistent global planning and reporting across subsidiaries.
