SSP Deutschland GmbH, the German market leader in travel gastronomy with about 3,000 employees serving travelers at airports, train stations and rest stops, faced a collapsing first‑generation BI environment: report refreshes and planning queries took minutes, manual work was high, and a user‑friendly, web‑based solution was needed to serve many nontechnical users and external partners.
Using Jedox, SSP implemented a single BI platform in under four months that integrates SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and multiple cash‑register systems to deliver automated daily sales reports, personal scorecards and real‑time like‑for‑like calculations. The new system provides real‑time consolidations, ultrafast performance (data imports reduced from ~40 minutes to 10 seconds), automated external reporting and 320 users now access up‑to‑date KPIs to steer individual locations and support group benchmarking.
