Sports Financial Planning at Swiss Olympic thanks to iVIEW for ABACUS (AXview) and Jedox

Swiss Olympic, the National Olympic Committee for Switzerland representing 76 national federations and roughly 2 million sports enthusiasts with an annual budget of about CHF 55 million, faced slow, error-prone financial planning driven by large Excel spreadsheets and manual versioning across complex, multi-year projects and Olympic missions. The finance team needed a centralized, transparent and web-accessible budgeting process with role-based access, interfaces to existing systems and automated workflow controls.

Working with Axept and Informatec, Swiss Olympic implemented iVIEW for ABACUS (AXview) alongside Jedox as a central data-collection and reporting layer, replacing fragmented Excel templates and connecting to ABACUS. After a roughly 10-month rollout (go-live September 2017) the organisation gained faster, more reliable planning and monitoring, high user acceptance, richer cost-centre and multi-year reporting, and anytime/anywhere access — with a plan to fully retire Excel by the 2019 budget.
