Sendik’s reduces time spent on reporting across 17 stores

Sendik’s Food Markets, a third‑generation family‑owned grocer founded in 1926 in Milwaukee with 17 stores, needed a more flexible, cost‑effective EPM to streamline FP&A. Their Adaptive Insights setup required manual data integration, limited multidimensional analysis, and forced separate systems for budgeting and reporting; they sought a cloud solution with Microsoft GP integration, centralized store/department budgeting, variance analysis, and broader data sharing across the business.

After a successful Jedox proof of concept, Sendik’s moved to Jedox Cloud with Microsoft GP integration and implemented the model largely in‑house with minimal vendor and no IT support. Using the Jedox Excel Add‑in and web reporting they eliminated manual data pulls, unified budgeting and reporting, enabled top‑down and bottom‑up planning, gained multidimensional views across locations and departments, sped up planning, improved documentation, and achieved significant cost savings.
