Sanofi unifies planning & reporting with Jedox

Sanofi, a global healthcare leader with over €30 billion in sales and 110,000+ employees, faced “spreadsheet chaos” after merging three national branches. Controlling relied on Excel and Access to consolidate KPIs, revenue, HR and cost-center data from multiple upstream systems, causing time-consuming manual reconciliation and limited capacity for complex planning. Sanofi needed a unified, flexible, scalable planning and reporting solution that ensured data consistency and allowed departments to enter plans independently via the web.

Sanofi selected Jedox after a proof-of-concept and implemented it across Europe, automating integrations from five source systems and leveraging an Excel-friendly web interface and write-back scenario planning. The Jedox rollout delivered real-time, validated data and a 360° view of products, customers and P&L; processes that took hours now take seconds, reconciling tasks that previously required two FTEs, and more than 140 users across departments now access and edit plans independently. The program won a European Best Practice Award and will be extended to 200 additional users.
