Rolling out Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting Globally with Jedox

Schunk Xycarb Technology, part of the Schunk Group, is a global supplier of silicon‑carbide coated graphite, quartz, ceramic and silicon consumables for the microelectronics industry. Rapid international growth exposed limits in its Excel‑based reporting (with manual retyping from SAP R/3), creating an error‑prone, hard‑to‑audit process that struggled with multi‑currency, global sales, local payroll and an expanding product portfolio.

To fix this, Schunk Xycarb implemented Jedox in 2007 to build a central planning database and roll out integrated budgeting, forecasting and performance management across finance, sales, HR and production. The agile, low‑IT rollout scaled to about 300 users, eliminated manual Excel work, improved forecasting and production planning, enabled trend and scenario analysis from a single source of truth, and delivered a reliable, scalable platform that increased confidence across the organisation.
