McDonald’s Switzerland, which operates 173 restaurants (152 franchisees) and serves 300,000 guests daily, needed a fast, reliable way to compare restaurant performance and define an optimal profitability model. Collecting CSV performance files from franchisees and consolidating them in Excel was time-consuming and prevented quick internal modeling and analysis.
Using Jedox, McDonald’s built an ETL and data cube (developed in two months by three non-IT team members with partner Linalis) to integrate franchise CSVs and generate reports, then added Jedox Cloud so field managers can access KPIs on site. The solution delivers granular, semi-automated reports (service speed, customers per hour, budgets, cash flow), eliminated manual Excel work, freed staff time for analysis, is used by about 15 people, and will be expanded with sales forecasting.
