A Jedox Case Study
North Texas Public Broadcasting (KERA), a Dallas-based nonprofit serving more than 2.6 million daily via TV, radio and digital channels, needed to modernize its finance function as part of a digital transformation. Legacy, Excel-driven planning and budgeting were fragmented and time-consuming; the finance team wanted self-service reporting, timely departmental budget visibility, and streamlined regulatory and board reporting. After evaluating several vendors, KERA chose Jedox for its usability, cloud integration, cost-effectiveness and minimal IT overhead.
KERA implemented Jedox in two phases, replacing dozens of spreadsheets with a linked direct-input budgeting model, unified monthly reporting and KPI dashboards, and approval workflows. The single source of truth improved accuracy, reduced department heads’ budget-management time by 20%, freed finance to focus on strategic work, and now supports 47 users for monthly and board reporting—while enabling future HR/CRM planning, advanced analytics and planned AI-driven projections.
