Ford & Slater is one of the largest DAF Trucks dealership groups in the UK, operating 12 dealerships across the East Midlands and East Anglia. The finance team struggled with time-consuming month-end management reporting and consolidation from numerous disparate Excel spreadsheets, making budgeting, forecasting and monthly re-forecasting inefficient or impractical.

Using Jedox, Ford & Slater implemented a group management solution that loads departmental data from GDMS via ETL into multidimensional Jedox cubes (one per department) with Excel-based reporting templates, driver-based forecasting and adjustable actuals. The result: annual budget production fell from 2–3 weeks to just days, processes were streamlined, analysis improved substantially and the company can now perform flexible top-down adjustments and regular re-forecasts.
