FFG, Austria’s national research promotion agency, funds over 3,000 industrial R&D projects a year with more than €1 billion in support. Faced with more than 4,500 annual submissions and slow, error-prone Excel-based processes, the agency needed faster, more transparent planning and reporting — including compliance with EU Horizon 2020 reporting requirements.

Working with Jedox and partner Vector, FFG centralized budget input, automated standard reports and published dynamic Web reports for Horizon 2020; users were trained quickly and the public portal went from outline to live in about two months. The solution cut manual copy‑and‑paste work, sped up report creation and planning, and provided on‑demand, up‑to‑date public access to project and investment data.
