Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), the third-largest university in the Netherlands with about 36,000 students and 4,000 staff, faced slow, error-prone budgeting and forecasting driven by complex, decentralized Excel spreadsheets, inconsistent reporting and no formal workflow—making multi-year budgeting and consolidated planning difficult and dependent on a few key people.

RUAS implemented the Jedox Enterprise Performance Management solution with partner Celcus, quickly rolling out finance, HR, capital and student planning. The platform automated data collection and approvals, supported top‑down and bottom‑up planning, and onboarded ~100 users; as a result, planning preparation times fell from days to hours, data quality and consistency improved, secondment planning became manageable, and the finance team can now focus on analysis and rolling forecasts.
