ITENOS, a Deutsche Telekom Group data center and network provider in Germany, faced growing demands that outstripped its Excel- and PowerPoint-based planning and reporting. The manual, fragmented processes made budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis slow and error-prone, so the management accounting team sought a centralized, less work-intensive BI solution.

ITENOS implemented Jedox as a web-based planning and reporting platform—integrating SAP data into an OLAP server and adding dashboards, rolling forecasts, budgeting and automated variance analysis. The in-house rollout now serves some 50 users with a single, consistent data pool, faster ad-hoc analysis, streamlined processes (only two consulting days required), high user acceptance and the flexibility to extend functionality internally as needs evolve.
