IFCO Systems From 1,000+ Excel sheets to automated efforts

IFCO SYSTEMS, the world’s leading supplier of reusable packaging for fresh products operating in 50+ countries (managing ~314 million RPCs and 1.7 billion deliveries annually), needed a self-service operational BI solution to support complex, logistics-heavy processes across controlling, sales and finance. The key challenges were handling large data volumes, replacing thousands of dispersed Excel sheets, delivering fast, department-specific analyses, and becoming independent of external consultants for system development and support.

IFCO implemented Jedox as a centralized, worldwide CPM/BI platform and its internal BI team now builds and maintains applications independently. Deliverables include a daily Transport Freight Report, SAP consolidation with drill-down to individual accounts and a contract-management module rolled out to ~50 US users in five months. Results: automated daily reporting, thousands of Excel files eliminated, faster deployment of analyses, higher data quality, cost and time savings, and improved visibility for account managers (about 70 users overall).
