A Jedox Case Study
Vivantes, Germany’s largest municipal hospital group, serves more than 200,000 patients a year across nine hospitals and about 15,000 employees. Financial controlling relied on SAP for historical reporting and on cumbersome Excel spreadsheets for planning across roughly 400 divisions, resulting in massive, error-prone files, slow queries, manual consolidation and limited KPI-driven risk visibility for the board.
Vivantes implemented Jedox — a web-based, in-memory planning solution with an Excel-like interface that integrates automatically with SAP, consolidates heterogeneous data, and supports driver-based plans and write-back. The agile, low-resource rollout delivered fast query performance, real-time data accuracy, secure granular permissions and scalability (now covering 900+ cost centers, 2,500 planned accounts and 500+ measures), enabling controllers to own plans, run scenarios quickly and expand planning into strategic simulations.
