Flexible HR planning with Jedox on SAP HCM

Unitymedia, Germany’s leading cable network operator with about 2,700 employees, needed to replace fragmented Excel-based HR planning with a leaner, more flexible and granular process. The company wanted a central source of truth tied to SAP HCM to automate routine tasks, enable simulations of cost scenarios, improve planning quality down to individual-employee level, and meet strict data-protection requirements.

Working with Jedox consultants, Unitymedia implemented a tailored Jedox solution connected to SAP HCM that started with annual planning and added a monthly rolling forecast, integrating detailed HR data into enterprise financial planning. The deployment gave 15 HR planners (and an enterprise finance portal for ~300 users) fast, compliant access to validated headcount and cost data, reduced manual work, improved forecast accuracy and transparency, and freed HR to focus on strategic trend analysis and scenario simulations.
