A Jedox Case Study
Faxe Municipality in Denmark faced heavy, manual budgeting and planning processes in its finance department. Reliant on Excel, the municipality struggled with time‑consuming data collection, version control, and tracking proposals from 50–100 stakeholders, making monthly follow-up and the annual budget proposal process inefficient and error‑prone.
Working with partner Qbit, Faxe implemented Jedox as a web‑based budgeting platform to automate data collection, draft budget sheets, commentary and monthly follow‑up, and to create a digital budget catalogue that consolidates proposals with ownership and version control. The solution cut manual effort and version chaos, improved follow‑up and reporting, enabled approved proposals to be added directly into the budget, and established Jedox as the municipality’s strategic platform for further digitizing planning, asset and liquidity management.
