Canon Nederland, formed after Canon’s acquisition of Océ, needed to consolidate two very different budgeting and forecasting approaches across its finance organization. The merger created high data complexity and tight timelines, and existing BI/CPM tools (and Excel) were too inflexible — so the finance team sought a solution that minimized IT involvement and delivered rapid results.

Using Jedox (with Celcus support), Canon implemented a driver‑based planning and cross‑department cost model as a web app for 15 EMEA countries. Finance built a working prototype without programming, completed the rollout in about three weeks, reduced IT dependency, and delivered accurate revenue, margin and expense reporting used for consolidation — earning strong user adoption and staying on time and budget.
