Repower AG is an international energy company active mainly in Switzerland and Italy with about 635 employees. Although its IT strategy centers on SAP, planning and reporting using SAP BW, SAP BO and Excel was complex, time-consuming and costly—especially due to high consulting fees and the need for strong SAP integration—so management accounting wanted a modern, easy-to-administer solution that would let business users manage reporting themselves without changing infrastructure.

After evaluating 11 vendors Repower implemented Jedox, chosen for its self-service, Excel‑like environment, fast deployment and strong SAP connectivity. Within months Repower launched cost-center and management reporting with integrated forecasts; controllers now extend and operate the system with far less IT support, reducing external consulting and license costs, speeding up analysis and planning, and creating a scalable platform for future extensions like driver-based planning, mobile BI and cloud capabilities.
