PF Olsen is a leading forestry services provider in New Zealand and Australia, managing large plantation estates and supplying services to investors, landowners and government entities. The finance team had outgrown Excel-based planning: huge, error-prone spreadsheets made job-level forecasting, multi-centre budgeting and multi-scenario FP&A slow and unreliable, so they needed an integrated, scalable planning solution across Job Planning, Operations, Finance and HR.

Working with Jedox and partner Visual Intelligence, PF Olsen implemented a multi-currency, real-time P&L plus Revenue/Job Planning, HR, vehicle and fixed-asset models with integrations to Excel, SQL Data Warehouse and their jobs system (FIPS). The agile rollout delivered automated data feeds, bottom‑up and top‑down planning, clearer actuals vs. budgets and faster roll-ups — yielding better KPI visibility, increased planning functionality, reduced errors and a scalable platform for extending Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and branch-level planning.
