Yates Construction Wins Tampa Hard Rock Hotel Project with BIM Consultant Collaboration

Yates & Sons Construction, a major U.S. contractor, needed to differentiate its bid for the Tampa Hard Rock Hotel® project by clearly demonstrating value engineering, schedule and scope. To produce the 3D visualizations and models required for the presentation, Yates outsourced Building Information Modeling (BIM) work to JBKnowledge, using their BIM/VDC services to supplement the internal team.

JBKnowledge delivered LOD 200–300 BIM models, enhanced files for 4D scheduling, and a faster turnaround that met the project’s tight February 4, 2016 deadline. Those models allowed owners to compare value-engineering alternatives, improved clarity around scope and constructability, and were credited with helping Yates win the Hard Rock Hotel project due to JBKnowledge’s technical expertise and speed.
