How One Group of Educators Uses JazzHR To Help Transform Lives Through Music

Education Through Music (ETM is a NYC-based nonprofit that partners with more than 50 under-resourced schools across the five boroughs to provide music as a core subject. With 50+ staff and growing recruitment needs, HR Director Josephine found their previous applicant tracking system difficult to use, slow to move candidates through hiring, and lacking integrations with their HRIS, which made onboarding cumbersome.

ETM switched to JazzHR for its intuitive interface and integrations (candidate sourcing, applicant tracking, candidate experience and HRIS connectivity), which let hiring teams evaluate candidates more quickly and move new hires into onboarding with less friction. The change cut recruiting costs by about two-thirds, sped up evaluations and hiring, and positioned ETM to recruit K–8 music teachers for the coming school year while benefiting from ongoing product improvements.
