EnergySys Limited is a UK-based SaaS provider of hydrocarbon allocation and production-tracking software used by major energy companies. Faced with complex allocation rules, frequent audits, stringent security and constantly changing field and commercial conditions, EnergySys needed powerful, web-based reporting without diverting development resources to build and maintain its own reporting stack.

They launched ENERGYSYS 4.0 bundling JasperReports and JasperServer (with iReport) to deliver integrated ad hoc web reporting, scheduling and distribution through a reporting portal. The result: customers can create, customize and schedule reports or use partners to extend them; the solution shortened time-to-market, avoided costly in-house development, is offered on a per-user/month basis, and has been well received for its flexibility and ease of extension.
