Column Technologies partnered with the MAGTF IT Support Center (MITSC) at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune to address a growing need for real-time metrics, risk analysis, and executive KPIs to manage IT service availability and change planning under tightening budgets. Operational teams relied on BMC Remedy for workflow, but extracting reliable, auditable reports was difficult and existing reporting options proved costly or incompatible.

Column implemented ITIL-based Incident, Problem and Change processes on BMC Remedy and integrated the Jaspersoft Business Intelligence Suite using an open-source driver and a Column BI Connector to decode Remedy data and embed context-driven reports. The result: on-demand, self-service reporting and dashboards accessible from Remedy and a web portal, removal of major IT reporting bottlenecks, faster incident resolution, better planning and decision-making, and empowered managers who can now produce their own reports without specialist support.
