Sage Human Capital, a San Anselmo–based executive search firm founded in 2009, set out to disrupt traditional recruiting by offering faster service, greater transparency and lower costs. The company needed to give clients real-time visibility into the entire hiring process, but its Excel-based approach lacked analytics, deployable reporting and the technical resources for a costly enterprise solution.

Sage implemented Jaspersoft for AWS, a cloud-based, open-source BI platform, to deliver interactive dashboards, 24/7 access and automated reports. The solution shortened development time, enabled parallel team workflows (working up to three times faster), increased candidate flow (8–10 vs. 2–3 per week in a benchmark client), cut IT costs and let Sage offer faster, cheaper searches with plans to add predictive analytics going forward.
