Learning management solutions provider meets steep enterprise requirements with help from Jaspersoft business intelligence solutions

Remote-Learner, a long-standing North American provider of Moodle-based learning solutions, developed the ELIS (Enterprise Learning Intelligence Suite) to help organizations manage curricula, content and reporting across large learning ecosystems. Early in development the team identified robust reporting and BI—graphical report design, role-based access and ad hoc analytics—as a critical differentiator, and concluded building that functionality in-house would delay launch and pull focus from their core learning-management expertise.

Remote-Learner integrated Jaspersoft’s iReport and JasperServer into ELIS to deliver role-based, standardized reports for learners, instructors and administrators (including progress tracking against curricula and state standards). The Jaspersoft-powered reporting sped ELIS to market by months, became a top selling feature, and helped make ELIS Remote-Learner’s flagship product; the company plans further enhancements with JasperAnalysis and JasperETL.
