The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) helps reduce the impact of landmines and explosive remnants of war and developed the IMSMA data system used in 40+ countries. While IMSMA captured critical country-owned data, it lacked built-in analytics, reporting, and easy visualization, leaving contributors with little actionable feedback and making it hard to set priorities and show progress.

GICHD built the Mine Action Intelligence Tool (MINT) on TIBCO Jaspersoft to provide an intuitive domain designer, dashboards, and complex-reporting capabilities with multi-tenancy and affordable licensing. The solution made data easier to access, share, and improve—introducing quality-check reports, indicators and scores for reassessment, and visible progress and impact—leading to wider adoption (100+ MINT users), stronger partner engagement, and better-informed planning and goal-setting.
